Fans of the blacksheep can book us for certain private or public events such as concerts/screenings/meetings, for groups of 50-200 - we've secretly hosted weddings, birthday parties, galas and private listening sessions. We're up for anything, so just ask!

• Capacity is 150, and the room is app. 1800 sq feet with ten foot ceilings.
• We need 3-4 months lead time to provide a weekend date.
• We host mostly music performances, but also meetings, film screenings, sketch and standup comedy, fringe festival pieces, book and poetry readings, rallies, fundraisers etc
• a venue fee of $250.00-$400.00 is retained to help cover costs such as door staff, production (stage, sound, lights ), advertising, dressing room, etc.
• the venue is always provided free-of-charge to fundraisers, local events, and many other worthy efforts.
• all openers are arranged or approved by the venue.
• we provide stage ( 16' x 8' x 1' ) sound ( 16 channel digital Yamaha board, 3-way EV system with subs) monitors ( 4 wedges on two mixes), modest lighting ( 5- 6 small par cans on dimmers) and DVD projector with screen, microphones (Shure SM 57's and 58's) with stands.
• some backline is available ( guitar amp, bass rig, drum kit, acoustic upright piano), music and instrument stands, stools, easles, etc.
• once a show is confirmed, we ask for : ten hard copy posters, a one paragraph press release, a Facebook event page, and that the date is clearly posted on all relevant artist websites ( artist, label, mgmt, agency, myspace, facebook, etc )

Additional Notes

• please note that our show days are Friday and Saturday, and occasionally, Sunday 4 pm matinees and once a month, Thursday evenings.
• our busy season is from late September until mid--May.
• summers are less busy due to the short summer and the beautiful outdoors here in the gatineau hills with lakes, summer cottages, vacations and festivals.
• if you have never booked here and are looking for a show on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wenesday nights, please note that these nights are not possible.
• we are situated in a tiny, sleepy, rural village of about 800 people.
• all evening shows begin at 8.30 pm and are over by midnight....weekend -matinees run from 4-7 pm.
• fees paid are modest and depend on turnout and ticket price.
• we have dogs and cats, and we burn incense too, so performers or audience members with allergies should probably avoid us..
